Universal Scale System Instructions
🎸 How to Use
- Select a Scale: Click on any scale in the circle (Major scales in outer circle, Minor scales in inner circle)
- Choose a Type: Click on the Scale Type buttons to select Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Blues, Melodic Minor, or Harmonic Minor scales
- Cycle Positions: Click the scale name again to cycle through all 5 positions on the fretboard
âŒ¨ï¸ Keyboard Shortcuts
- 1-9, 0, -, = - Select major scales (C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, F)
- Shift + 1-9, 0, -, = - Select minor scales (Am, Em, Bm, F#m, C#m, G#m, D#m, A#m, Fm, Cm, Gm, Dm)
- M - Major scale
- N - Minor scale
- O - Major Pentatonic
- L - Minor Pentatonic
- T - Blues scale
- K - Melodic Minor
- H - Harmonic Minor
- P - Cycle through positions
- Space - Play/Stop scale
- Esc - Clear selection
🎵 Audio Controls
- Play Scale: Plays the current scale ascending and descending
- Metronome: Toggle metronome on/off
- Tempo: Adjust speed (60-200 BPM)
- Volume: Adjust overall volume
- Sound: Choose between Clean and Electric guitar sounds
- Treble/Bass: Adjust tone EQ (-12 to +12 dB)
- Sustain: Control note duration (0-100%)
🎨 Color Legend
- Each color represents a scale degree
- Red = Root note (1st)
- Colors help you visualize patterns across the fretboard
- Same colors = same notes in different octaves
